From Global Development to Data | From Numbers to Narrative
I read data like a scientist and a room like a bartender.
I bring curiosity about how the world works and empathy for the people behind the data. At its core, my work is about translation: turning complexity into understanding people can act on.
I came to data the long way around: through five continents, two master’s degrees, and years of listening from behind the bar. Along the way, I studied international development, environmental policy, and sustainable tourism; worked in Caribbean hospitality; and learned to translate across cultures, disciplines, and perspectives.
The Human Side of Analytics
Today, I bring that same approach to analytics. With Python, SQL, R, data visualization, and machine learning as tools rather than ends, I find meaningful patterns and make their real-world significance clear.
My work blends analytical rigor with storytelling. I'm comfortable working through messy datasets, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and translating technical findings for the people who need to act on them. Hospitality taught me to read people; global development taught me to read context. I bring both to every project, connecting the numbers to the people and places they describe.
This portfolio reflects that philosophy: data used not just to understand the world, but to help improve it.
Beyond the Pixels
Offscreen, I live for sunlight, mountain air, good stories, and growing things. A lifelong learner and incurable wanderer of both landscapes and ideas, I chase plot twists, explore streets, and dig into facts, fables, and rabbit holes with equal joy.
